Hairy Baby

I´ve just discovered this online-shop called "Hairy Baby" thanks to my irish flatmate that bought this bag for me!!

Hairy Baby is especially addicted to t-shirts made with organic cotton. The idea was to make t-shirts with Irish sayings and slogans on them because it was impossible to find funny Irish shirts in shops.
So they started making T-shirts which said :" my dad is an aweful ejit", "I love my Leaba" "Away with the fairies" ,"Go haead make my tay" and so on that are impossible to understand if you are not Irish for example I asked my Irish flatmate why the t-shirt with the writing "Daddy or Chips?!" was funny and she answered that it was because of a famous advertisment:

Because the selling of t-shirts was successful they started to make hoodies and recently shopping and beach bags.

You can buy their products on  http://www.hairybaby.com/index.php for a cost between 15 and 25euros for the shirts and 13 euros for the bags.

Christmas is the time of farytales , it´s the time when everything looks magical and lost in another dimension ditached from the reality...it´s the time when every princess finds her own prince Charming ... thanks to Brown Thomas for its windows which every year remind us that at Christmas dreams can come true.

When style is a family-matter...

Walking in Dublin´s city-centre...

These irish girls are two sisters I met at a bus-stop; the little girl clothes are from Topshop and they reminded me the Alexander Mcqueen Resort 2011 collection´s black dresses .

Charitable Fashion

Ciao to all of my fashionable followers,

Let me guess something...you are broke but you really need to buy a pretty dress to go to your friend's party or ,as always,  you've just opened your wardrobe and exclaimed "I haven't got anything to wear!" ..does it sound familiar?!

You probably went around all the shops in the city centre in search of something really cheap nice and well-designed but you couldn't find anything...ok  don't freak out! that's only because you didn't check in the right place: have you ever been in a Charity shop??

I know that when somebody thinks of second-hand clothes he thinks of people that want to throw away their old and ugly stuff and sometimes, I have to say,  there are a lot of clothes that really look like Halloween costumes in some charity shops.

As you walk from George's street , along Aungier St, through to Camden St it's plenty of charity shops that we usually do not notice. The first one at the beginning of George's street is called the Oxfam but for what I saw it is not worth it since it's the most expensive one and the clothes could be nice just for people over 50 .

What you should not miss is Vincents: a charity shop in Aungier St that offers the best deals ever! This month all the clothes are half -price which means that you can get t-shirts or jumpers for only 3euros!!!!

Although if you are looking for a night dress or Vintage clothes Debra is the shop for you!Since the first step in, it seems to have opened your grandma's closet of when she was young . Here you can find gorgeous dresses and accessorizes still fashionable nowadays and in perfect conditions for 5euros!!

My advise?!Go and buy them before all the pretty ones will be sold out so that not only you will do a successful shopping also if you are broke ,without feeling guilty, but also and most important thing over Fashion is that  with your money you will contribute to help less fortunate people.
Vincents, for example, is run by a christian organisation aimed to help poor people, on the other hand Debra's mission is to get the money to develop the treatments and cures for the EB ,a skin disease.
For further information visit https://www.debraireland.org/do-it-for-debra/charity-shop! They are also looking for volunteers!

Remember though : always BE PATIENT!!! because in a charity shop at first sight it seems that you could not find anything pretty but if you check carefully you will always find something really special and unique. Vintage and second-hand  clothes aren't like any other clothes because they have got a story behind them : that's what makes them more magical and precious than the others.
